About me

With artistic mottos such as like ‘Always look up’ and ‘Urban Mindfulness’, Tracey’s art aims to capture the unique beauty, angles, colours, and historic references of what she sees so that others can see it too.

Based in Brisbane, Australia, I am an oil painting artist that paints in a realism style - more recently I am curious and keen to experiment with more fluid and 'painterly' styles.

In art and life, I am drawn to seek out unexpected beauty, colours, and angles in everyday scenes especially rustic urban scenes, industrial structures, minimalist designs and still life objects.

I actively seek out painting inspiration everywhere I go - reminding myself of my artistic mottos to ‘Always look upward’ and take a moment for ‘Urban mindfulness’.

My interest in art started with drawing when I was 8 years old which lead to formal recognition and awards during my school years through local junior exhibitions. After High School I decided to channel my creativity into a solid 20+ year career as a Graphic Designer and Brand Marketer.

While art took a back seat to my creative career, it has always been a leisure pursuit which I am increasingly making time for. What time (and age!) has afforded me is the ability to accept that art is a journey. One that needs experimentation and continual practice.
